Learning Support
At Ngaruawahia High School, we aim to support, celebrate and champion diverse learners to reach their full potential. Student support needs include neurodiversity (including dyslexia, ADHD, ASD), gifted and talented, students benefiting from Special Assessment Conditions or just in need of a more flexible approach to school.
Students are not streamed at Ngaruawahia High School; we arrange classes using a “cluster” model to group students in a way that best supports their learning.
Support that we can utilise includes specific differentiation and learning programmes, support from our professional and caring teacher-aide team lead by our SENCO, external supports such as RTLB and the Ministry of Education, as well as Special Assessment Conditions and regular monitoring by Hub Mentors.
Please contact our SENCO on 07 824 8729 or via email [email protected] to discuss your child or children’s learning needs or to make an appointment.
